Record Keeping

• Be positive
• Be brief and direct (have grade record with you)
• Be specific and address parents' concerns/questions

• Send when a student does something kind, makes a new effort, achieves success, does outstanding work, etc.
• Make a goal for yourself: send home one card per class, per week

• Log all contact with parents, counselors, students, etc.
• Photocopy or print communication (good news cards, email, grade reports, etc.)
